Honduras Mission

Hey ya'll its Emily! So I decided that it is finally time to compose a post about my upcoming mission to Honduras. This is an extremely exciting post for me to write because I am so ecstatic to be going! I hope to have your prayers for myself and my team throughout the preparation for my trip!

First off, let me give ya'll a bit of information on where i am traveling to:

• Honduras is a country near Guatemala, Nicaragua, and El Salvador, in Central America. 
  
• In Honduras there are beautiful water like ocean, lakes, and rivers. Amazing beaches line these waters.

• Along with the shimmering water is lush jungles, breathtaking mountains, and huge coffee plantations with, what is rumored to be, the best coffee ever.
   

We are going to be staying at a mission ranch created by Mission Lazarus. Mission Lazarus is an organization that helps villages create work to feed, house, and clothe the people. 

There are 13 of us, all together, traveling to Honduras. We have four girls and five boys from our youth group and four leaders. As a group we have been participating in service projects to raise money for our trip. These have been great bonding experiences for our team! All of us are so excited to be able to join each-other on this mission to Central America!

Its 2014!

Hey ya'll! So, it has been FOREVER since I have blogged and because we are a whole month into the new year I figured a blog post was in order. I wrote a blog post early in January but never got around to posting it. This half of the school year is and will continue to be extremely crazy for me! I am still taking EIGHT courses a day at my high school, since I have a zero hour. I have added on an "extracurricular" class as well! I am taking Drivers Ed in the evenings and driving with an instructor right after school. I will have my permit by March 18th and my license around late August/early September. I have been continuing dancing in my advanced jazz class, advanced ballet, and advanced pointe. As for competition team, we are gearing up for competition season! I will be competing in a ballet and jazz group along with a duet with my sister, Addie. We will hopefully be competing at a competition up in Twin Falls, meaning we will get to travel! The most exciting news I  have is that I will be traveling to the country of Honduras!!! Myself along with 3 other girls and 5 boys (and adults of course) will be serving the people of Honduras through mission outreaches. I will most likely have a full blog post dedicated to my trip!
